The Core

For over 20 years, churches have used BYM’s standard, week long summer Vacation Bible School as a core event in their youth outreach strategy. Taking advantage of an effective traditional community program is wise.  Tying it to an overall strategy with good training and follow-up events is wiser.

Our strategy begins with scheduling a core VBS program.  We then work backwards to “calendar” leadership training, planning events and worker training. Once these are established, then we work forward from the core to develop sustaining and summary events to preserve and enhance the “fruit.”

S.N.A.P. Requirements

In the past BYM has sent evangelistic teams on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to heavy demand and limited resources we have changed from this model to an application/selection model. In order to get a VBS program conducted by Tim Tutton and staffed with BYM’s EIT’s, churches will be required to fill out an application, go thru an interview, meet selection criteria, attend a training seminar, host local church training, and attend a 48 hour training and strategy retreat in Sinclair, Wyoming. Below is a timeline.
